Public Class Schedule

Everyone is welcome, all classes are beginner friendly and offer an invitation to practice no matter if you are completely new to yoga or have practiced yoga for years.

Slow Flow/Gentle Flow  

This uplifting class provides students with a safe space to explore movement and (re-)connect with their own body, breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation round out the practice. Utilizing breath coordinated gentle and mindful movements and poses (standing, seated and on the floor*) this practice is designed to help promote lymph flow and circulation, joint mobility, gently build muscle tone, calm the nervous system and relief stress.

Yoga for Spinal Health/Back Care/Scoliosis

The practice of yoga can support our physical, mental-emotional and spiritual well being in all stages of life. Back pain and discomfort are a widespread issue for folks these days, and back concerns often impact much more than our physical well-being, so in this class we focus on how yoga can support our spinal health, in particular for people living with scoliosis, kyphosis, spinal fusions and other spinal conditions, utilizing informed alignment, mindful movement, breath and meditation.

Restorative yoga  

Restorative yoga emphasizes rest and deep relaxation for body and mind.  Passive poses are adapted to the individual and fully supported utilizing bolsters, pillows, blankets, etc this allows for longer holds without strain, which promotes gentle yet deep opening and relaxation. Breath work and guided meditation are an integral part of class.

Yoga Nidra iRest (TM)

iRest (TM) yoga nidra is a form of guided meditation practice, encouraging self-inquiry and offering tools to help relax deeply, release stress, increase resilience.  Based on ancient teachings of meditation, iRest is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical and spiritual healing and well-being. 

Class consists of about 10-15 min gentle movement, before we get settled in a comfortable laying down (or seated) position, supported by probs like blankets, bolsters, as needed. The meditation will be about 30-40min.
