Britta was diagnosed with scoliosis as a teenager, but only found yoga decades later, just after her 40th birthday. Since discovering the various benefits of practicing yoga in her own life, she has not only deepened her own practice and studied continuously, but as a yoga therapist and facilitator she is passionate about helping people experience those benefits for themselves. She is especially passionate about working with all those who think they are too inflexible, exhausted, old, injured, ill or feel otherwise limited or excluded from the practice of yoga.

Her teaching focus is on yoga for back care and scoliosis classes, as well as gentle and slow flow classes supporting the lymphatic system and joint mobility. In her classes she offers a safe, accessible, and effective practice for everyone, utilizing mindful movement, informed alignment, breath and meditation.

Britta is a yoga therapist C-IYAT, Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher ERYT 500, Yoga of the Heart ® – Cardiac and Cancer Certified teacher, iRest® Level 1 Teacher and a Yoga For Scoliosis Teacher Trainer.

Deeply grateful for having been able to study with amazing and experienced teachers from a variety of lineages since embarking on her journey of practicing yoga, this has provided her with an extensive toolbox to draw from.  This is reflected in her classes, where she emphasizes creating a safe space for every student, meeting them where they are in their personal yoga journey and guiding them safely to self-exploration and awareness of body, mind and breath and

She offers several yoga class formats like slow flow, gentle flow, hatha, restorative, chair yoga/office yoga, back care classes, guided deep relaxation, mediation, as well as customized classes and workshops.
